Acceptance on a NIPA course is by audition only.
Auditions are held in October half term and February half term, for the following September.
We may be able to accept students at a later date; please do contact us for further details.
On Audition Day, please arrive between 9am and 9.30am.
Parents and guardians may choose to stay until 10am, so that they may attend a talk about the course.
To give prospective students an introduction to staff and an informal taster of classes, candidates will participate in a classical ballet class, a modern class, an acting class and a musical theatre class. We recognise the individuality of our future students and understand ballet or musical theatre may not be your focus. The courses are unique to each student with some preferring a greater focus on acting and others on dance, this is factored into our audition day.
Following these classes, students will have the opportunity to perform a prepared performance of their choice, such as musical theatre, dance, acting or other. Candidates' prepared performance should be no more than two minutes in length. Accompanying music if required, must be sent in digitally prior to Audition day.
Students will attend a short personal interview.
We are happy to provide any additional support for our prospective students, please inform us in advance.
